Curriculum vitae

Melanie Siegel holds a Ph.D. in linguistics computational linguistics from Bielefeld University. Her Ph.D. thesis concerns translation mismatches in Japanese to German machine translation. She has more than 15 years of experience in computational linguistics research at the Universities of Bielefeld and Saarbrücken, and at DFKI Saarbrücken. Her research interests are in the fields of machine translation, grammar development for language technology applications and controlled language checking.
