The ACCEPT Academic Portal: Bringing Together Pre-editing, MT and Post-editing into a Learning Environment June 2015
In early 2015, the ACCEPT team has released the ACCEPT Academic Portal, a showcase of the ACCEPT European project (2012-2014). To make the ACCEPT technology accessible to a wider public and, in particular, to teachers and students, the original ACCEPT Portal was transformed into an easy-to-use fully-integrated online platform that combines the typical modules of a machine translation workflow and is specifically designed for academic purposes.

ACCEPT is one of the 26 projects on machine translation currently supported by the European Commission January 2012 The European Commission has supported HLT for some 40 years now. There was a lot of sustained effort throughout 1980-1990 which resulted in some pioneering Machine Translation and Translation Memory technologies. The EU support for HLT is now being revived due to renewed political commitment following the enlargement of the EU and new challenges emerging from globalised markets. |
